Why is it important for you to know where your food comes from?
I was lucky to grow up with a dad who, through hunting and camping, taught me the importance of respecting the animal and the harvesting process. I will pass this on to my children. I know Crowd Cow sources its farmers with the same approach of respect for the animal, and that’s why I’m proud to be a part of this company and movement
Who inspires you?
People who know how to work. Who put their head down and grind. Also My wife who is the rock of our family.
What is your most memorable meal?
Carbone. That Spicy Rigatoni is ridiculous!
What’s your favorite meat dish or meat preparation? Do you have a recipe you would like to share with us?
I’m a sucker for a simple Steak and Mashed potatoes. Reverse sear and cooked to a perfect medium rare.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Being a Dad, Super Bowl and earning my Eagle Scout.
What is on your bucket list?
I want to fish the Salmon Run in Alaska. There are a couple hunts I would like to do as well up there; Bear, Moose and Caribou.
How do you stay motivated?
The Fear of “what could have been.” I never want to look back on my life and think “I could have done more”
What’s your morning routine?
Wake up, read, check news, breakfast and then get going for the day. If it’s during the season, I’m in the hot tub before meetings start.
What’s the one thing in your kitchen you couldn’t live without?
My Chef Knife from Half Face Blades.
